Antenna Beetle -Pikmin-

Mesmeri raiocontra, Kettlebug Family: The Antenna Beetle.

One of my favourite Pikmin enemies of all time along with the wonderful Water & Plasm Wraiths. Not being directly dangerous to the pikmin, when this bug calls out, the frequencies sound the same as a whistle. This turns pikmin away from attacking it and also, just as it would with anyone else, calls the pikmin to it's side so they follow it around. The only way this is a threat to pikmin is if the Antenna Beetle leads it's pikmin into a trap or hazard that it cannot survive. It also interrupts the Treasure Gauge's signal, making it flutter about until the Antenna Beetle is gone.

Why do I love them so much? Well, look at this thing. It's a beautiful creature - really interesting to observe. It's nature is intreging too since it will jump in and out of an area extremely quickly before coming back.
